The OG. Common was the first bar our founders Jonny & Charlotte opened back in 2004, right in the heart of NQ on Edge Street. Paving the way for bars in Northern Quarter, Common quickly became an institution, iconic for great nights out and excellent drinks, and has been the backbone for everything we’ve done ever since!
Nell’s took over in May 2020, with a BANG, making news headlines and even a feature on national TV, officially bringing New York Pizza to Manchester and beginning the Nell’s story…

Bookings aren’t always necessary at Nells NQ – we love a walk-up as much as the next bar.
However, it is nice knowing that you’ve got a table waiting for you, ready to be filled with pizza the size of a small family car and loaded with the finest pints and frozen cocktails around. It sounds really nice, in fact.
