The Basics

In addition to your basic pay – which we’ll always be upfront and clear about – 100% of tips go straight to the people who work in our bars, including everyone who works in the kitchen. Payday is every 4 weeks, meaning you’ve got the reliability of regular income and there’s no worries about ‘long months’.

We give everyone reasonable hours, and flexibility wherever we can, plus 2 slices of our New York Pizza whenever you’re on shift and a staff drink after you’ve finished.

We want you to feel you can be yourself at work, and we will always treat you as an adult – so if you are Front of House, you can wear your own clothes to work.

Time off is important: you’ll have 28 days to take across the year, and we’re closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day meaning you can celebrate the festive season however you see fit.

If you’re working late, we’ll pay 50% of your taxi fare home too.

We want you to experience exactly what our customers do, and for you to be excited to bring your friends and family to our bars, so we’ll give you 50% off all food and 25% all drinks whenever you do.

Each of our sites has 2 annual staff parties: at the start of each year we’ll come together to celebrate as a company with each of our venues closed for the day especially, and in the summer each site is given their own budget to go and do what they want as a team, in the sun (hopefully). We also have 3 wellbeing walks – our Hospitality Hike – every year for both our teams and the wider industry to socialise.

We’ll also give you £25 to spend in any of our venues on your birthday, just so you can celebrate with us. All staff also have access to our employee assistance programme through Health Assured, which gives 4 free counselling sessions.

Development

We will invest in your development from the day you start with us. We have a comprehensive online training platform to ensure that you have all the skills you need to be able to excel in your current role, and progress within the company.

We always aim to clear progression pathways in each of our bars – both for front and back of house – with clear guidance given on what steps each individual will need to take should they wish to reach the next level.

You’ll have a quarterly one to one with your line manager where we can celebrate your big wins from the past period, as well as look forward to see where your next steps are, with the ability to raise any issues you may have.
