One of the most important things we do is support organisations that are meaningful to our colleagues and our customers. While we’re all about being well baked and well sauced, just as important is being well good: for our people, and for our communities. Every year, we pick a different local charity to organise our efforts around: for 2025, we’ve chosen The Christie Charity as Nell’s Pizza charity partner, and with your help we’ll be spending
the entirety of the year joining them against cancer. This is a charity close to our hearts, with several members of staff who have been helped by their work over the years – and no doubt many hundreds of our customers who’ve been positively impacted by the works of their team.

The Christie Charity provides enhanced services over and above what the National Health Service is able to finance, mainly at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust hospital in Withington. Through our fundraising efforts over the course of 2025, we’ll be helping them continue moving
forwards for cancer patients.

Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie can provide to their patients and their families. This includes funding for a number of services throughout the hospital including the cancer information centre, wig fitting service, art room and complementary therapy. They are also raising money for major developments including our campaign to bring blood testing closer to home.

In previous years, the Nell’s Pizza team have committed enormous feats of strength to raise funds (well, run a 10k or half marathon), put their minds together to create special one-off slices and drinks, plus given their own time to volunteer for our partners. Just as importantly, you have always got involved too. Each year, we donate £1 every time a selected pizza from our menu is sold, and for 2025 you’ll be doing something for the greater
good every time you get yourself a 14” or 22” Magic Number. One of our fave vegetarian pizza’s… it features mozarella, vodka sauce, salsa verde, buffalo ricotta cream, ricotta salata, basil – and, of course, a hundred pence donated to directly to The Christie Charity too. We also have an annual Nell’s Pizza raffle that is always enthusiastically supported – due in no small part to the prizes that our friends from across the hospitality and beyond donate, and a top prize that usually includes winning an incredible amount of NYC style pizza.
