July has been BIG!

Let’s look back on an amazing month…

If July felt big, that’s because it was. We’re not ones to blow our own trumpet, but this past month has been full-on in the best way. Festivals, parties, new openings, and a bit of karaoke chaos thrown in for good measure. Nell’s has been BUSY.

We kicked things off with Kampus Fest. A full weekend of music, food and party fun right in the heart of the city. Our Kampus home turned into a full-blown mini festival, with DJs, takeovers, dancing and the kind of vibes that make you forget you’re just off the canal and not in a field somewhere. It was loud, it was sunny (sometimes), and it felt like exactly what summer in Manchester should be.

PLUS, we teamed up with the dessert legends at Black Milk to create something genuinely ridiculous, a pistachio ice cream sandwich using our own pizza dough as the bread. Chewy, crunchy, sweet, salty… perfection. Definitely not one for the faint-hearted, but it flew.

Over in Altrincham, we kept things wholesome with Alty Fest. Our two-day family-friendly takeover saw pizzas flying, face painters working overtime, DJs keeping things breezy, and loads for the little ones to get stuck into.

But that was just the start…

If you were anywhere near Manchester this July, you’ll have noticed the sound of 90s nostalgia echoing through the streets. Oasis were BACK! We celebrated with two separate parties: one at Kampus, one at Common. Bucket hats, themed drinks, and sing-alongs in the middle of a big heatwave. The city came alive even more that week. It was biblical, and we were buzzing to be part of it.

And just when we thought we couldn’t pack anything else in, we went and dropped some huge news: Nell’s is opening at MediaCity. A brand new site, coming soon. Big pizza, same energy, and this time with a little extra: karaoke booths and shuffleboard. We’ll be slinging pies on the Salford side very soon, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve got planned.

Speaking of karaoke, Kampus now has its own private booth. Up to ten people, fully soundproofed, and available to book right now. It’s been live for a week and already proving that people really will scream “Angels” like their lives depend on it (despite Jonny’s attempts to ban this classic).

So yeah, July was wild. Thanks to everyone who turned up, booked a table, grabbed a slice, danced, sang, shouted, or joined us for any part of it.

August’s got a lot to live up to.
